The Institute promotes heat pumps and renewable energy to alleviate the energy crisis.
The award-winning Renewable Energy Institute (REI) has launched a new Heat Pumps training course for professionals and individuals – the second of its kind from the Institute. The course aims to teach participants how heat pump technology works, and how the savings and benefits of the technology can be achieved.
There are global efforts to cut down on carbon emissions and reduce global warming. These efforts, strengthened by the rising gas and oil prices, are leading to increased investments in Renewable Technologies. Heat Pumps are a natural development of this push towards a greener future, and so it is vital that the benefits of this technology are understood.
As heat pumps are used to hold steady temperatures across buildings and distribute heat efficiently, they provide a cost-effective way of using electricity. Boiler upgrade schemes like the one introduced across England and Wales last year [1] demonstrate the effort for efficient heat circulation across domestic and commercial buildings. These systems reduce carbon emissions and require less maintenance than traditional combustion heating systems. They are cheaper to run than oil and gas boilers and have a long lifespan (typically over 50 years).
Following 47 years of expertise in training in Renewable Energy Technologies, the Institute – known for its green conferences in partnership with the United Nations and worldwide universities – is launching its new Heat Pumps course.
27th April 2022, Live Virtual Classroom – LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE – REGISTER NOW
The course focuses on the core concepts of heat within buildings, the physics principles and technologies involved in heat pumps. It will cover the various types of heat pumps, their environmental impact and financial regulations and incentives. The course is suitable for individuals and professionals intending to understand this technology and be able to outline the key benefits of its implementation. Participants who complete the course will have the opportunity to sit the exam for the internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate.
“We are delighted to add this course to our already extensive list of training opportunities. This is the second version of the Heat Pumps course that the Institute has released, and we’re excited to provide our participants with key updates and analyses of the technology. We hope the course will encourage individuals to join the ever-expanding Renewables sector and help organisations to offset their carbon footprints.”
Paolo Buoni, Director of the Renewable Energy Institute
The Heat Pumps Live Virtual Classroom course will take place on 27th April 2022. The course will take place 9am-5pm UK time, with the remote exam for the Galileo Master Certificate taken at the end of the day.
Following the extensive success of its Accredited Expert Certificates, the Institute is proud to announce that the new Heat Pumps course will be part of the Green Energy Consultant Expert Certificate. Participants will have the opportunity to study this course alongside Wind Power and Renewable Energy Solutions to become Green Energy Consultant Experts.
Participants who enrol on the Institute’s Accredited Master in Renewable Energy Award will have the opportunity to attend the Heat Pumps course as part of their learning pathway, and count the course as one of their required 13 accredited courses.
The Institute is currently taking registrations for the Heat Pumps Live Virtual Classroom course, but places are limited.
