Cancellations/Refunds:
Virtual Classroom Courses: Participants and prospective participants should notify the Renewable Energy Institute Ltd in writing of intended cancellation of their course(s) at least 14 days before their course is due to begin. In which case an alternative date is proposed to the candidate and, if unsuitable, a full refund of the amount paid will be provided to the prospective participant. Cancellations within 14 days prior to the start day may not be eligible for a refund.
Distance Learning Courses: Participants are able to cancel their distance learning course and be eligible for a full refund of the amount paid on the condition that the cancellation has been received in writing no more than 14 days following the start date of the course and the course videos have been accessed for no more than 1 hour.
Prospective learners and participants to the activities of the Renewable Energy Institute – European Energy Centre should be aware that it is sporadically necessary to alter, discontinue or combine courses or seminars. This may be needed for a number of reasons such as low enrolments, ill health or departure of personnel, industrial action. Changes will only be made if the Renewable Energy Institute – European Energy Centre reasonably considers it to be necessary. If a course or seminar is suspended, the Renewable Energy Institute – European Energy Centre will use reasonable endeavours to provide a suitable substitute course and will take all reasonable steps to minimise disruption; allow a participant to withdraw without penalty if a course, seminar or conference is cancelled or extensively varied, with a suitable reimbursement of fees and deposits.
The Renewable Energy Institute Ltd makes no representations or statements and provides no guarantees (whether express, implied, in law or in equity or otherwise) regarding the information provided, any services provided or the suitability of any of the services for a particular purpose. The Renewable Energy Institute Ltd shall not be responsible for and disclaims all and any liability for any loss, liability, damage (whether incidental, consequential, direct, indirect, special, punitive, or otherwise and including without limitation loss of profits, loss of earnings, business interruption or loss of information), expense of any nature or personal injury which may be suffered by you or any third party as a result of or which may be attributable, indirectly or directly, to using of or relying on any information provided by the Renewable Energy Institute Ltd.
The information provided in Renewable Energy Institute (REI) courses (including, but not limited to; course materials, responses to questions, and additional comments from the lecturer during and after the course) is given in good faith and materially reflects the lecturer’s knowledge at the time of writing. No warranty, written or verbal, regarding the information provided in the course or work commissioned as a consequence of this course, or as a result of work or investments undertaken on the basis of any of the material presented during the course, is given. Participation on the courses does not guarantee a job in the field or MCS accreditation, which you need to obtain through an MCS Accreditation Body.

The Galileo Master Certificate is offered by Centro Studi Galileo s.r.l. as ‘attestato di partecipazione’ and ‘Galileo Certificate’ throughout Europe to participants of its training courses.
Extensions:
Complimentary extensions are available upon request, dependant on course or pathway studied. Participants are also able to purchase extensions to allow them additional time to complete their studies. Extensions for 1 month may be purchased for £64.80 and £194.40 for 3 months.
Participants are able to purchase up to a maximum of 6 months extensions, on top of the complimentary extensions available. Extensions cannot be purchased if participants are currently paying via an instalment programme. If the instalment programme has been completed, extensions may be purchased as normal. Extensions cannot be purchased if a participant has successfully completed the exam for that course. Extensions can be purchased if participants are within their enrolment period or within one year of the original expiration date provided.
If participants would like to purchase an extension more than one year after their original expiration date, participants will be required to pay 30% of the cost of the course or pathway, provided that less then 30% of the course material was studied. Participants will regain access to the course or pathway for an amount of time equal to the original enrolment period of that course or pathway. If more than 30% of the course material was studied, or more than 3 years have passed since the original expiration date provided, participants will be required to pay the full cost of the course or pathway to regain access.
Live Virtual Classroom Recordings:
The REI’s content distribution regulations changed as of the 1st March 2022 and we can no longer provide recordings of the Live Virtual Classroom courses. The courses may be recorded for internal evaluation purposes or used for the Distance Learning platform only. Course slides are still available to download for future reference; we strongly recommend that you take your own study notes during the course.
Terms & Conditions of the GMC and Expert Certificate Logos:
The Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) and Expert Certificate Logos should only be used by the individual and in relation to the individual who has been awarded a GMC/Expert Certificate. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure appropriate use of the GMC/Expert Certificate Logo and to enquire about specific usage if uncertain.
The GMC/Expert Certificate Logo must be at least 75×96 pixels or 1.7×2.4cm in size when reproduced. The logos should be clearly readable when published or printed, using the logo files provided – these should not be altered, stretched or re-coloured.
The GMC/Expert Certificate logo are copyright of the Renewable Energy Institute and can be used by REI Alumni who have been awarded a GMC/Expert Certificate for use as recognition in relation to their renewable energy and energy efficiency activities. The use of the logos is at the discretion of the REI and this privilege can be withdrawn at any time.
