The Renewable Energy Institute will be attending one of the most important renewable energy events of the year, the Innovation Zero Clean Tech Congress. Running from 24th – 25th May, Innovation Zero’s mission is to reduce the disastrous effect of climate change and encourage discourse and innovation into how we can tackle this problem and cut emissions.
With endorsements from the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, chaired by the Rt. Hon Dr Liam Fox MP and partnered with the UK Government, the congress is set to be the platform for action for focused COP events. It will also feature world class exhibitors and speakers, alongside the Renewable Energy Institute, such as the University of Cambridge, UK Department for Business and Trade and NatWest.

Across the two days, attendees will have the opportunity to sit in on high profile industry speakers, such as Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Prof. John Rockstrom, Director of Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and David Livingston, Senior Advisor & Managing Director for Energy from the US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate. Additionally, there will be many networking opportunities for members of the industry to share ideas as well as encouraging collaborative work across the sector.
There will be many different subject areas and topics covered, each with the aim of leading the way to a greener future. Topics such as ‘Transforming Capital to Drive the Low Carbon Transition’, ‘Working Towards Zero Carbon Aviation’ and ‘Decarbonising Our Built Environment’. All striving for a unified vision to reach the world’s aim for mass reduction in carbon emissions and fossil fuel usage.
The Renewable Energy Institute is pleased and honoured to be a part of this important event and hopes to pass on the valuable information learned to our clients and members. As Innovation Zero’s mission statement says, “This is both the moment to pull back from the cliff edge of spiralling tipping points and also seize the opportunity to demonstrate innovation and leadership in decarbonising our economies and societies.”
