Your Galileo Master Certificate Exam

The GMC exam has been administered globally since 1975, and is awarded to 5000 professionals each year, across 300 global training courses, in collaboration with 21 leading universities.

The Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) exam tests your understanding of the subject matter covered in your course videos and materials. You will sit a GMC exam for each course that you take.

The GMC exam consists of multiple choice questions designed to test your knowledge of the course videos and materials.

The GMC exam is open book, meaning you can use your course notes during the exam.

How do I register for my exam?

Before booking your exam, you must submit proof of identification (for example, with a valid passport or driving licence). You can complete this by logging into your online learning account and submitting it through your profile.

How do I book my exam?

Log into your online learning account
On your dashboard, scroll down and click on the name of the exam for your course e.g. Hydrogen Energy Exam.
Press “Click Here To Book Your Exam” to view the current booking options. Select the one that suits you.
Once you’ve chosen your slot, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address associated with your account with the date and time of your exam and further instructions.

Please note, exams must be booked before your enrolment end-date. For example, if your course ends on 5th September, do not book your exam for after that date.

How will the exams be monitored?

The REI will monitor your exam attempt via your account, with start and end times recorded. By clicking ‘Attempt Exam Now’ you confirm that your identity matches that of the ID provided on your online learning account.

When will I get my results?

Your exam results will be with you via email within 7-10 days after they’ve passed through our internal marking system. You will receive a pass/fail grade. If you have passed, you will receive your GMC digitally. If you fail, please message us to arrange a resit.
