Multinational Power Company Voltalia, Angelo Lucenti
The Renewable Energy Institute (REI) is pleased to focus on the achievements of those who have attended REI courses and attained the internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate to further their careers in the Renewable and Green Energy sectors. The REI, which works with the United Nations Environment Programme and major universities to promote best practice in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, this month is delighted to speak with Angelo Lucenti from multinational power company Voltalia, who attended the Electric Vehicles course at the University of London.

1. Hi Angelo: what is your current expertise and how does this relate to the renewable energy field? I am an Electrical Engineer with more than 11 years of experience in the Renewable Energy sector, and I am currently working as the Operation & Maintenance Coordinator of a large Solar Photovoltaic power plant with multinational power company Voltalia. I am studying the industrial transportation market – including Electric Vehicles – in order to establish my own company, with the aim of promoting the growth of the Green Energy industry.
2. Why did you choose to train with the Renewable Energy Institute in order to take the exam for the internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate? I am always looking for further study to improve my skills and help progress my career: I found the Renewable Energy Institute’s Electric Vehicles course online, and found that the course content would help me reach my career goals.
“The course was taught by a world-class lecturer, who provided the latest developments in the Green Energy and Transportation industry.” – Angelo Lucenti, Voltalia
3. What are the skills that you gained with the Renewable Energy Institute? After attending the Electric Vehicles course, I gained a number of skills that will expand my prospects in the Green Energy industry, and open up opportunities in other countries. The course was taught by a world-class lecturer, who provided the latest developments in the Green Energy and Transportation industry. The lecturer supplemented the course with case studies and examples, which were very helpful.
4. How will you apply these skills to your career, either directly or indirectly? The skills obtained in the Electric Vehicles course will allow me to evaluate the initial investment, the life cycle and all of the energy strategies regarding Electric Vehicles, as well as the management of Green Energy projects. I will use these skills in a variety of Renewable & Green Energy projects in my current role with Voltalia and to help me establish my own Green Energy company.
