The Renewable Energy Institute is delighted to congratulate the Team at Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Fleet for successfully completing the Accredited Electric Vehicles course.
Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Fleet recently approached the Renewable Energy Institute in order to provide 35 of their top professional team members with bespoke EV training. The Team were given the opportunity to study the accredited online course flexibly according to their own schedule and achieve the internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate.
The Renewable Energy Institute’s Electric Vehicles course (available to be studied as part of the Accredited Master in Renewable Energy Award) is led by industry experts with 20 years’ experience in the sector, where they are currently involved in UK policy and infrastructure developments. The course provides essential knowledge on a variety of Electric Vehicles and technology, as well as valuable insight into the EV industry including infrastructure, legislation, and key operators.
“The course has ensured that our team are experts in the Fleet industry when talking to our customers about EV adoption”– Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Fleet
The Renewable Energy Institute asked Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Fleet about their experience of receiving bespoke EV training from the Institute:
1. Please tell us a little bit about the team that participated in the Electric Vehicles course – what are their backgrounds and what was your aim with the training?
Our Fleet Sales & Marketing Team were all given the opportunity to undertake the course as part of their continual professional development, the aim being to accelerate their knowledge and understanding of EVs, to better support our customers.
2. Why did you choose the Renewable Energy Institute as your professional training course provider?
We were looking for an external training provider who could offer us an accredited course, to form part of our wider EV training programme.
All the Renewable Energy Institute’s courses are accredited and can be studied for your continuing professional development. See full list of courses here.
3. How has the training helped you with your current projects?
We started the distance learning course during the first lockdown, so at a difficult time for many businesses we chose to invest in our employees and give them something positive to focus on. The EV knowledge gained from the course has ensured that our team are experts in the Fleet industry when talking to our customers about EV adoption, something they are now using daily.
The team members at Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Fleet were very pleased with the course:
“I gained an understanding of the wider factors that contribute to EV development and the considerations/challenges faced to enable the viable uptake of such technology in light of European and UK targets/ambition”
“The course was expertly presented and the information covered appropriate. The Lecture Videos and Notes were available to study when needed”
“Very informative and covered all areas relating to electric vehicles”
You can study the Electric Vehicles course as part of the 12-course Accredited Master in Renewable Energy Award, or as one of your three courses in an Energy Expert Certificate. The course is also available to be studied individually in the Live Virtual Classroom or online on-demand.
